These works grew directly out of the series of pen and ink drawings published in 1980 as a book, Earth and Sky Changes. They combined earthy, mandala forms together with hard edge, pop icons, set amidst west coast mountains. They works capture a formative period, when I was incorporating the influences of Vancouver artists Gary Lee Nova, Jack Wise, Joy Long and Claude Breeze
