Gregg Simpson exhibits
frottage drawings in the Salle du Couvent, Seillans, France, last home
of Max Ernst. The Salle du Couvent is located next to the
Max Ernst/Dorothea Tanning Archives.
2002:
West Coast Dreamers,
Exhibition Centre, Harrison Hot
Springs,
B.C. included Robert Davidson, Leo Labelle, Pnina
Granirer, Martin Guderna, Gregg
Simpson, Ricardo Spinace, and Lunar Suede.
2003:
Michel P. Christensen:
Mary at the Altar
of the Brain-Bending Sex Hormone
Collage from the journal, Exile, 2001 by Michel
Christensen, formerly of the National Museums of Canada is a
major collector of the West Coast Surrealists
who now makes collages for
publications, such as Parrot Fever,
with Joe Rosenblatt.
2004:
Gregg Simpson
exhibits with
Amy Ernst in
Contemporary Surrealism at
Gallery Zero in Barcelona, Spain. They have
subsequently exhibited together at the Carteret Gallery, in
Morehead
City, North Carolina.
2005:
A group exhibition was held at
the
Fundacion/ Museo Granell in
Santiago de Compostela, Spain entitled
West
Coast Surreal, A
Canadian Perspective co-organized with director, Natalia
Segarra.
The exhibition, part of a series of
surrealist groups worldwide, featured the work of
Gregg Simpson, Pnina
Granirer, Martin Guderna and Gordon Payne.
Figurations
Abstrait at the Maison des Artistes, Chateau
Grimaldi, Cagnes-sur-Mer, France ( group exhibition
conceived and organized by Gregg Simpson).
It includes the works of
Gregg
Simpson, Pnina Granirer, Martin Guderna and
